i read the ship's operational history but never did it mentioned the ports that the REEVES visited during my tour of duty aboard her. ports such as Sri-Lanka, Karachi Pakistan, Mauritius, and Kenya. I wondered why.

Onboard Reeves 74-75 including the I/O Cruise. Probably the best ship I served on in my 20 years and one of the greatest A/S divisions I ever had the pleasure of serving.
Thanks for those memories.

Best sea command out of 4. Loved Wild Bill, he made sea duty tolerable. I was the IC1 from 1986 - 1989. Looking for IC3 Lucky, IC3 Gladowski (Ski), IC3 Howell, EM2 Gould or anyone else that wants to chat.

My time on the USS Reeves was for two weeks at a time, from 1983-1988. My reserve unit in Minneapolis, Minnesota was affiliated with USS Reeves. I was very fortunate to be able to be part of the best ship in the navy. I was able to get underway only one time. That was between 13 JAN 86 - 24 JAN 86. We went to the Phillipines. I made alot of friend while on board. Petty Office Rodarte was in the Admin Office, he was the best. I always enjoyed my time on the Reeves. Contact me anytime.

Reported to Reeves pre-commissioning detail Norfolk. Sent with rest of crew to Bath Maine. Homeport Pearl Harbor. Onboard for WesPac tour. Great crew. Enjoyed riding motorcycles with our group "Freedom Riders". Left the ship in 1972.
