I was a prison guard at Erlangen for a short time, then I was assigned to A troop, 35th
Sqdn., at Fussen in May of 46. I attended a como course at Sonthofen. A short time later I
attended a radio repair course at the Signal School in Ansback. In Sept of 47 we were re-
designated the 42th Sqdn and assinged to Augsberg. It was a sad day to leave Fussen.
I returned to the the CONUS in May of 48. I remained in the Army ,serving a tour in Korea
and Formosa. Just missed Nam by a wisker. I then retired in Oct 69 as a SGM. It would be
nice to hear from old trooper’s. My email is lncobbs@yahoo.com.

Thank you for providing this connection and service. I am looking to see if Thomas Schmidt of Kassel was able to find any family members through his service to the U.S. Constabulary -- and to say aloha.

In late April of 1946, I joined the 15th Cavalry Regiment, later to become the 15 Constabulary Regiment, stationed in Weinheim, Germany. Later my unit was transferred to nearby Seckenheim, Germany; then to Beoblingen, Germany; and lastly, to Fuessen, Germany. I left Germany in October, 1948, to return to the USA for discharge.

John "Bud" Mazur passed away Sunday January 29, 2012, following a stroke. He served proudly in the US Constabulary (1946-7 14th Constabulary Squadron, Darmstadt). May he rest in peace, and God bless America.
