My stepfather Henry Jager served in the Constabulary right after WW2. He had various roles including being the fire chief in Heidelberg. I still have two wooden fire engine models based on the Army fire fighting trucks that his German firefighters gave to him when he rotated to Fort Hood Texas in 1948 with his war bride (my mother) and me. Pop spoke fluent German being of Texas German stock and he joined the army in 1939 and retired in 1962 the year I joined the navy out of high school. One of the assignments he had that he did not like was being in liason with the Russians on transferring Soviet DP's back to the USSR. He knew many of them would be killed. Pop died in 1996 at the age of 89 and God Bless him and the American men of his time.

I am looking for anyone who may have served with my Dad, George E. Silvia, in B Co 1st Med Tk Bn 68th Armor 3rd ID, in Germany in 1960-1963... He passed away April 5th, and I would like to see if anyone has photos he may be in from that time... I have photos with other people in them, and some he took during the filmig of the movie "Armored Command" in 1961... I am willing to share the photos... Any info/ photos would be greatly appreciated!
