I was born in a dp camp in Bad Nauheim Germany in 1947 (april) and left for Canada in Oct 1948. Is there anyone who might have any information about the camp around that time. I will be in Bad Nauheim for a few short hours in Sept and would like to see my birthplace and the grave of my mother who died there shortly before we left for Canada. Any helpwould be appreciated.--leon

i searved in the 2nd armord cav regment. first augsburg. later bamberg. it was a great unit to be with.one of the most out standing person i searved with was a cpl deneen. he was army all the way. he ate and slept army. it was a great time in my life to be with the us, constabulary.

On leave in Prague (in uniform) over Christmas 1947, uniformed Russian soldiers informed my trooper friend and self that we needed to return to Germany. Had 4 of a 7 day leave in Czech. This was just prior to the Russian occupation of that country.

My father served with the Contabulary when was station in Germany, his name was Jacob Rosner. He used to talk to us about how proud he was to served with the Contabulary.
