Thank you for creating a site like this. As someone who has recently established a deep connection with an ad seg prisoner behind bars in Texas your site is eye-opening to say the least. What my friend is experiencing he will not share with me, but reading such information has really got me worried about him. I hope I can do whatever I can on the outside to help him cope in the inside. In the meantime, I pray to God that something changes drastically. This situation is not acceptible in a civilized society no matter how we try to isolate ourselves from "dangerous" individuals. Penitentiary was supposed to help those repent and learn from their wayward ways. What we're doing as a society is creating monsters. I hope my friend is strong enough to make it through.

I am an ex-prisoner of the State Of Texas who spent from March 25th 1988 to December 19, 2008 in the belly of the beast that is the Texas Department of Corruptions.
I am now the State President of Jeff Dicks Medical Texas; a prisoner's rights advocacy group which fights for seriously ill prisoners rights to adequate and proper medical care. See our website Jeff Dicks Medical Texas, become a member of our organization, make a donation, and help us fight to save the life of a seriously ill prisoner.
If you know a prisoner with AIDS/HIV/Hepatitis C/Cancer or other serious illness who is not receiving the medical care he/she needs contact me through our website or write directly to Jeff Dicks Medical Texas, C/O Steven Baughman (State President), 14930 Mesita Drive, Houston Texas 77083, and I will start a letter writing campaign for that prisoner.
We are looking for members and volunteers who are willing and able to write letters and make phone calls for seriously ill prisoners; to put pressure on TDCJ and UTMB; to force them into rendering proper and adequate medical care to particular prisoners. By focusing on one prisoner at a time I hope to improve healthcare for all prisoners in the future.
Thank You Broken Chains for putting my message out there.
Sincerely,

My name is Glenn and I spent 10 years in California prisons on drug charges where I turned my life around by writing novels about redemption and tough on crime platforms forgetting about compassion. I am blessed to have published and am looking for ways to get the word out. I now get art from prisons to use as book covers. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056C0LW4

My husband has served just over 17 years of a 24 year sentence plus we are separated by over 5,000 miles. Apart from a few 'dodgy' moments, we are still madly in love. What keeps us going? The believe that one day ......
