Hi -I can't get a hold of your contact page -urgent question -I just bought 4 fire belly toads today and before I put them in their tank I need to make sure... Do you know if it is bad to put fire belly toads in softened well water? I'm concerned about the salt from the softener -and we can't stop using that because our well water is Very hard... lots of minerals and stuff... I am soooo happy I found Toadily Toads! Thank you for dedicating a site to such wonderful creatures that are generally looked down upon. I am an attractive intelligent woman that adores Toads and Frogs. I used to be really into Frogs, but I have become more partial to Toads now as I have a little bit of a Toad Sanctuary in my backyard. People think I'm weird because I dig up worms for them to eat and say how "gross" toads are. Well they can go blow because Toads Rock!! I have taken a more keen interest in them now recognizing that they are truly the underdog. I plan on expanding my brood and posting my own pics online. If you are interested I could send you some. We have a pentiful supply of toads; for the first time we ran accross a group of toadlets. I put several in my veggie garden. I had previously put some mature toads in there as well. I don't see so many toadlets anymore and wonder if the big toads are eating them. So am interested in anything I can learn! Also, was suprised that the toadlets were/are out so much during the day.
