I am so heartbroken about this story. I really believe that Brian did not dissapear by choice and that his "friend" knows a lot more than he is saying. Anyone who cared about this man would have done anything to cooperate with the police instead of getting a lawyer and running away. I am praying for your family every day and I hope you never give up. What a beautiful person this world is missing. May he be brought back to his family soon. May God be with you all.

Randy,
Myself and my entire family are in constant prayer for you, your family and for Brian. I cannot begin to imagine your pain...but I do understand as a parent the love that we have for our children. There is no greater love but that of our heavenly father. I believe God has his hand in this and in time the answers will be found. God Bless you and your family.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

It doesn't look like things are still up and running... I really want this guy to be found. I always hate seeing missing persons articles and whatnot, and this one really bugs me. I wish I could help, but I'm just a 15-year-old... I'm sorry for what your going through and hope with all my heart that Mr. Shaffer is found.

I just want to say that Brian, his family and close friends are on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers. I regret that I can not ease the pain of Brian's father. As a parent it speaks to me as the greatest grief, and I wish I could do something.

Dan, Did you read about Brian's friend Clint who he was with (at the Ugly Tuna) the night he disapeared? This 'friend' will not talk to the family, refused a polygraph test, hired a lawyer, and then left town. I can not imagine a scenario in which a friend would act this way without something to hide. A person without something to hide would welcome being investigated--so they could be cleared from the potential suspect list. To me, Clint's actions point to his involvement in foul play. There are several websites with information about Clint. Take a look and let us know if you agree.

You know this story really not only creeps me out, but does not make any sense. The video shows him going into the bar, but never leaving. And the side exit which was under construction at the time shows no sign of struggle or anything. The fact that he was a guy in really good shape just adds to it being bizare. I wish I was investigating this for real. I hate to say it but the evidence leans towards that Brian wanted to dissapear. Maybe for some crazy reason he wanted to get away. He did call his GF that night which might have been a goodbye.
