I just heard the news of Randy's passing. I am deeply saddened by this news. Randy was such a strong and amazing person. I am truly honored to have met him. I met Randy when I had shirts printed to raise awareness for Brian. I threw the shirt onstage to Mike McCready at the PJ concert in Cincinatti...and the band talked about Brian being missing. I can't imagine how Derek feels- I sincerely wish him the best. If there is anything I can do- please let me know. My phone number has recently changed so please feel free to email me for it.

I cried so hard when I heard of Randy's passing, but the tears were mixed with joy in knowing that now Randy has all his questions answered about Brian. Randy thank you for being so good to me and thank you for all you've done for the missing...you will be missed. When I was in Columbus in July I found my eyes just searching everywhere for Brian. I was at Byrne's (my cousin's bar) and Mac's and drove by my grandparent's old home just blocks from the river. Brian was on my mind the whole time. Derek I know you will contiue searching for Brian but don't forget to take time out for you, for all the tragedy you've experienced your mission now is to try and find happiness and peace in your life ... to achieve that will do your parent's proud. Please check your Dad's MySpace messages from me. I was going to contact your Dad just this past weekend to see if he followed up on a suggestion I gave him....you will know the message when you see it. Derek know that the world wraps it's arms around you as we all grieve with you for the passing of your Dad. You will never be alone in this world and we all will continue to search for Brian. I never met the Shaffers but I have been following Brian's story for the past 2 and a half years. Now to hear about the passing of Randy is such a tragedy. Derrek our hearts go out to you, I cannot imagine the pain you are going through right now. Even though this is a horrible tragedy at least Randy is now at peace and no longer wondering what happened to Brian.
