I live in Columbus and just heard that a male body was found in the Scioto river earlier today at 1pm....and they have yet to identify the body...I immediately thought that it could be Brian....I hope that he is alive somewhere though and I really hope and pray that you find out where he is, no matter what.

I saw Brian's story long ago on Dateline, or Primetime or some news show. It still haunts me. I have no words to begin to describe what those who actually know him are going through. I wish I knew him. An incredibly handsome man like that can't just fade into the background. Someone has to know something. In the meantime, as did everyone else here, I offer my prayers to Brian, his family, and friends. No one is completely gone unless they are completely forgotten. Brian, come home!

Like everyone else I also saw Brian's story on TV and from all the others it was the one that touched me the most. I truly hope that you will find him soon and I'm sure that GOD has been taking care of him and everything that happened is for a special reason. May God bless you guys and help you find Brian soon.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Brian Shaffer and I wish the family the very best. I will print Brian's picture and paste it on poles or trees over where I live and hopefully someone can come forward with any news. Thank you!

Dear Brians Family.. I saw the E! episode on Brian and the truth is that it has been in my head and my heart for a long time. I can imagine your pain and your desperation, which must be tremendous. God will provide you sooner or later the answers to all of this, and you have a friend here in Guatemala that will be praying for Brian and all of you. BLESSINGS!
