I called crimestoppers and left a message but I saw a program about Brian and what happened the night he went missing. I thought it was a guy here in Charlotte NC who went missing last year. The stories are almost identical so I thought maybe somehow they are related. The guys name here is Kyle Fleischmann. I don't know how to get information(other than calling the local police)about the circumstances but it may be worth seeing if there are any similiar people working in the bars they went missing from or things like that. I do know there is some survellence of the Kyle guy too.
Anyway I wish I could be more help,
I can't imagine what you are going through.
Take care.

I just saw the E! show about spring break nightmares, and it shook me to my core, and Brian's story extremely affected me. I have 2 young baby boys and I cannot even imagine the pain your heart must sustain on a daily basis. I truly feel for you as if I know you and I will pray for your family, Brian and Sweet Alexis everyday. God Bless you all.

To the Shaffer Family & Alexis,
The E! 'True Hollywood Story' isn't over yet, but after seeing the story on Brian, I got up immediately and went to this website. Please know that I'm just one of many, many people keeping Brian and your entire family/friends in my thoughts and prayers. I truly believe that one day, he will come home to you all. My daughter has a MySpace account and his poster has been added, even though we're in PA. I have bookmarked the website and will continue to check it on a regular basis and I cannot wait until the site is updated saying that he's back home with his family and friends!

I cannot even imagine the agnony of not knowing where a loved one was. I saw Brian's story on E news a few times. My brother is headed to medical school next fall, and it's crazy but Alexis looks just like my brother's girlfriend. Something about Brian just really made me feel like he is someone that I would have been friends with. I am a PSU alumnus, and usually I hope OSU loses during football season, but I would take a million Penn State losses to OSU if Brian were to return. I will pray for Brian, and his family.
