I have had a button with Brian's picture on my dresser for some time. Each time I dust, I have prayed for him to be found. Today I decided to search the web and see if he had been found since it had been two years. I am sorry no more information has turned up for your family. His picture will continue to stay on my dresser and I will continue to pray for your family. Sincerely, Kallie Wile

I became aware of Brian's disappearance by the recent story in the news concerning the Smiley Face Gang murder theory when I did ome internet research and clicked on www.footprintstotheriversedge. So much hope and promise in this young man. So smart, so gifted. Such a bright future ahead for him. Your pain, your worry is unimaginable. To simply not know is absolute torture. And to have this happen so close to the death of his mom is beyond comprehension. When I went to this website, my initial inclination was to learn more. I saw the Guest Book and thought it would be useless to leave a message. But I thought that if Brian's dad, brother or girlfriend reads these messages and gets any comfort whatsoever from them, then it would be an easy thing for me to do. Know that thousands of people care, thousands are praying for you and are affected by this horrible mystery. May God give you the peace and serenity you so well deserve. Don't despair. There is always hope. No matter where he is, your love for him and his love for you remains.

I will pray for this family. I hope you find him soon. We need people like him in this world. It hurt my heart that any could hurt some love one for no reason. But, for some reason I believe you will find him.

I do not know Brian personally, but his story has touched me. I am currently in the works of forming a search group. I don't care what it takes, no one deserves to go through what his family, friends and girlfriend are going through. All that we can do is our best to help find him and hopefully bring him home. I wish the best of luck and best wishes to all his loved ones. God bless.

Dear Shaffer Family, friends & Brian's Girlfriend:
I know it's been two years but I ask that you continue to have hope. I too have been following the story for a while and it just amazes me how hopeless the situation seems. The Police seem like they can not to anything, but I suggest that you guys go for all allternatives that means sphycics- many have help find people-, telivision hosts like MONTEL, OPRAH. There are many alternative help solutions don't relie on just police. Furthermore, from the story I heard I narrowed the situation down and my theroy is this; When Bryan whent to go talk to the band one of the members could of got angery at Brian may be he knew one in a way and that member hid him in a equitment holder and when the band packed up and left know one noticed anything because brian was smuggled out and delt with some way later. I would seriously recheck the bamd members. It seems the police and everyone else thinks the band did nothing but the only other thing that could of happed is those two cops standing on the stairs out side the Tuna Saluna know something we all don't know! I feel greatly sorry for Brian and his family, and friends and I hope you don't give up.

I saw Brian's story on E t.v. I think of his family and friends on a daily basis. I have said prayers each day for you guys. I believe with my whole heart that the Lord is with you guys every step of the way and all questions will be answered someday.
I have three children of my own and I can't even begin to imagine the pain all of you have suffered.
