Sister Margarita, 1st grade I was so afraid of her enough to run out of the classroom and down the railroad tracks to my house with a nun running after me and telling my mom not to open the door, now that I think of it she looked like the flying nun. Also remember Sister Benigna and her stack of rulers, boy what memories.
Great job John!

| My Favorite Memory: There are so many memories but I definitely remember the nuns instilling the fear of God in us...so much so that I became the "goodie two shoe kid" who always wanted to please the nuns. Guess it worked...I was often asked to go the the post office (from Vine St) during lunch to buy them stamps. Of course, we couldn't go alone, so my best friend, Carolyn Andre, always came with me and we always managed to stop at her house on the way back! |
