An Arabic poet Omar al-Khayyam, admirer of Sufism, wrote: "What is your flash, Khayyam? Tent where for overnight's stop, As a wandering shah, the spirit did a stop". Interesting site....though I would like to point out that Khayam was persian not an arab. The word "Shah" says it all. "Shah" is a persian word for king...he was born in Persia (present day Iran) and his poems are in persian (Iranian language) as well...if he has some works in arabic it is b/c the moslem arabs invaded Iran and forced scientists to write in arabic hence arabic became the language of the elite...pretty much like what happened in EU with latin.

Interesting ideas. The God of creation is quite knowable and has revealed Himself in His creation. He also has a Title, "Alpha and Omega". It is very difficult to understand in the material world what can only be fully understood in the realm of "eternity" where God dwells. What exists in the material world can only come out of eternity transferred by the simple act of the spoken Word. You can only trust the God who has 1) made Himself known openly 2) has made a way for Himself to be known. Most religions are simply mans efforts to reach God. Either by ritual or sacrifice they try to find God. They can't be trusted. Oh yes, it helps if the God you are trusting is a "living God". Dead Gods can't be trusted. I hope I have not insulted your intelligence. That is not my intention. You obviously are a very intelligent person who has given a lot of thought on these matters. My intention is to possibly introduce to you the "living God" of creation who has made himself known by the creation. If you find my ideas insteresting, please email me for further discussion. JBH
