I just got a young corn snake a couple of weeks ago. It is just one inch over 2 ft long. I cannot tell if it is a male or female. I feed it once a week. It likes live mice, because it gets exercise before it eats. I like this web site because it specializes in corn snakes, and I really like corn snakes.

My husband and I just bought our first snake. A little baby cornsnake, but he doesn't look anything like yours. He is almost completely redand orange, and he has bright red eyes...is this normal coloring for a cornsnake?

Thank you for sharing your beautiful vivid photos of Shaggy shedding. It relieved us of worry. You see, Red, our beloved Everglades rat snake was showing that grey eye look and we were sick with concern. Now we know it is just nature taking its course.

New corn owner!! I just got a 2-3 mth old charcol (Pursss)and a 6-7 mth old Okeetee (Bootz) and they are awesome. We thought they were just shy and then realized that both are in "pre shed mode". Bootz has shed, and eaten well! but Pursss is still hiding out under the substrate. Good site and I will be back to see more!
