>Peirsol deserves a lot of credit for standing up for his teammates.
Some people of the US swimming team would use any dirty trick to deprive Kitajima of the gold medals. What a friendship Peirsol offered to his teammate? Is that an American way of achieving goal? Both Hansen and the head coach of the US team were smart enough to dismiss Peisol's accusation on Kitajima because they recognized that there was nothing wrong about Kitajima's use of his legs. If Kitajima really did the so-called "dolphin kick" that Peirsol alleged, moreover, why wouldn't the judges call it illegal and keep bringing that in question? Those Americans (Peirsol, Lezak, and someone like you) are just crying SOUR GRAPES. Nobody can deny the fact that Kitajima won two gold medals in those races. While I admire the Hansen's sportsmanship, I think that Peirsol disgraced himself by accusing Kitajima falsely even though he won the gold medals in his race. By the way, it seems that the media has stopped writing about this controversy. I suppose that it has also found the Peirsol's allegation unjustified.
Nevertheless, Peirsol and Lezak must admit that their allegations against Kitajima were wrong, and apologize to him in public.

Hey Aaron, or whoever... I am not really sure who reads these guestbooks anyways. I'm Kellie, a 21 year old struggling swimmer from New York. I watched you in the trials and now in the Olympics. I never really knew who you were before this year, don't be mad. Well, I just wanted to tell you that eventhough I do not swim backstroke, and frankly hate it during the 400IM I think you're great and you're definetly the only Olympian I'm watching. I know everyone is looking at Phelps to do some amazing things, but I think you are the swimmer amazing everyone. Being the struggling college swimmer I am you are really motivating me to swim fast my last year in swimming. I just wanted to let you know that you are a mentor to a lot of people, younger and older than you... Okay, I don't really know what else to say b/c, like I said before, I am not sure who reads these things. If you want to respond to anything I said or just say hi that would be awesome, if not I totally understand you're busy and famous so it's all good...but, my email is mcguire@oswego.edu
Good Luck w/ everything!

Congratulations Aaron on winning gold. Being an Aggie I am glad that I finally have the chance to cheer for you as you swim for the USA. As hot as I think you are I can't turn my back on my aggies, and so I am not able to cheer for you win you swim for UT :) But I wish you the best of luck, and hope to get to see you swim some this coming school year.
