Actually, if you look at tapes from Kitajima's 100 breast and 200 breast, you can see an obvious dolphin kick off of the start and turn in the 100. After Peirsol said something, however, Kitajima's dolphin kick became much less noticable. Obviously, Kitajima was aware of his dolphin kick in the 100 since he changed it in the 200, probably aware that more attention would be paid to his turns. He may have won the 200 legitimately, but his 100 gold is tainted.
Peirsol deserves a lot of credit for standing up for his teammates.

Again, Kitajima beat Hansen on the 200M today, and got another Gold medal.
Now it's clearly proven that Mr. Peirsol's accusation against Kitajima's first race was totally wrong.
Mr. Peirsol should be held accountable for his comment to call Kitajima a "cheater."
Shame on you!

Dear Aaron,
Congratulations on the medal! We missed the televised coverage as we are without power here in the Orlando area since Hurricane Charley. It came back on for our neighborhood yesteday so I have power, but no cable. Am trying to watch Olympics on a battery powered tv!
Anyway, I know your uncle Steve AND we were neighbors of your g'father, Fred, at Fountainbrook. Met your parents AND you when you were little. Have video of you around three attending my son's, Aaron, birthday party. so funny! I must show Steve sometime!
Have fun over there!

Congrats on the gold! I'm a diver (and former swimmer) who's been sucked back into the world of swimming...all because of Aaron. I haven't cared this much about swimming in years. So thanks Aaron, it's fun to be back. You're a cute kid and I wish you the best!

Peirsol and Lezak definitely should apologize to Kitajima in public for falsely calling his technique "cheating" which is inappropriate.

Aaron was right on when he accused Kitajima of cheating, no one can truly say that Kitajima didn't know what he was doing. However,Aaron definately could have handled himself a little more respectfully, but his anger is understandable. And it is not only the American media that accuses Kitajima of cheating, it is surely on a more international level; i can assure you it is the same in Canada.
