Calvin Greer was a very special gift to America. He
was a gifted artist that inspired many and soothed
many. His talent was vast yet untapped. He was a
motivator, an inspirator, and a dedicated soul to
the unique art and significance of African Heritage.
Always ready to inform and educate, Calvin kept
many in awe of his knowledge and abilities. I had
the pleasure of seeing Calvin in Atlanta at the Arts
Festival 2 seperate years. He looked out for me. He
inspired me. He was such a real person. A great
rarity these days. I will miss him greatly. I feel
priviledged to have known him.
Peace and Blessings to his family and friends.

Dorothy & sons, we're deeply sorry for your loss and hope that your holidays will be filled with beautiful memories of Calvin and the great man that he was. Calvin was truly a happy and sincere individual, one of the happiest i've ever known. I'll always appreciate the way he was always respectful and welcoming to me regardless of the generation gap. He was the best neighbor a locked out teenager could ever have :) .

What can I say?
I met Calvin in 1973, (over 30 ago) and we have been friends every since.
When my family and I moved from Milwaukee, Calvin was the one who kept us abreast of what was going there.
TO THE GREER FAMILY:
We are so very sorry that we cannot be there, but our hearts and prayers go out to you.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
The Bible tells us that Methuselah lived 969 yrs had sons and daughters and dies. Jesus lived for 33 yrs. At the age of 12 he was aswering questions asked by Lawyers, Doctors and Scribes, but then he asked them questions that they could not answer.
At the age of 30 he begin his ministry, healing the sick, raising the dead, chasting out demons, feeding 5000 with a boys lunch, opening blinded eyes and the list goes on and on. What I'm trying to say is that it is not how long you live, but rather what you do in your life that counts. We know that Calvin was always doing something while he was with us, and if we keep the good, happy and fun times we had with him in our hearts and minds we keep his spirit with us.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU GUYS

It is with love and respect that we send our warmest greetings to Dot and the family. As is traditional in Africs. the transition from this stage is cause for celebration of the many positive contributions one has made. Truly our brother took his skills and opened the eyes of many to the beauty of Africa. This is a true legacy and Africa thanks him for all that he did and will continue to do through his art. Mendasse (thank you) Calvin!
