To our Best Friends How can we express our sincere sympathy with Dot, Shante, and Chris. You know the love and friendship Calvin and Victor have endured over the years has been filled with many memories. It saddens me at this time because Victor is not able to be there for you, which you all know because of his own illness. When the time comes for him to find out what has transpired, I don’t know what his reaction will be. I just know that I will be there for him and try my best to help him again endure. I know if he were able, he would be right at your side. While he was in ICU at Froedtert, Calvin, Shante and Chris came to visit. When I spoke to him later that day, the biggest smile came across his face as he shook his head letting me know they came to visit. So, his last memory of Calvin will be that day. I don’t have as many years of friendship but I do believe the years I’ve gotten to know and be around the family, they have been as meaningful as the many years many others have shared with you. So much the both of us will miss Calvin. We share in your lost and we pray for your strength to continue. You have all been the greatest example and many have seen your strength, faith and trust in the Lord. Thank you for being a part of our life. God Knows Best. Love Roxann

We are saddened about the death of Calvin.He was always fun to be around with his great sense of humor. . Calvin has touched everyone life that he came in contact with. I am saddened to hear about the passing of Calvin. I met Calvin many years ago when he was a part of Studio 6 in Cedarburg. He was always fun to be around and was happy to share his knowledge. A few years ago I brought about 40 of my middle and high school art students to see his Greer Oaks Gallery. They greatly enjoyed his collection of African art and were amazed at his talent. We still talk about the visit. The Milwaukee art community has lost a great artist and wonderful person. I wish to extend my sympathy to Calvin's family and friends.
