Calvin I will miss you the most because you always had a way of bringing me up when I was down. I will miss you beautiful choice of words that somehow included words of wisdom. I love you much, your cousin Camille.

"Strong" is not only a physical stature, it's a state of mind.... In this time of sadness I wish you all peace of mind in coping with the loss of a great man. It's important that we surround ourselves with family in times like this to not only help us deal, but also to help us remember and celebrate. I wish my "second family" to be "strong" and may God bless you. Love always and forever, Edward A. Jackson III (Ed)

Dear Cousins Dot, Ashanti, & Chris, My heart is deeply sadden by the home going of my dear cousin Calvin, but my spirit and my life is up-lifted by the life Calvin lived, the joy he put in everyone's hearts with his love and that contagious laughter of his. That laughter I will never forget. I know he will be making laughter where he is now. We all are better because of his love and laughter. I can't remeber Calvin ever putting anyone down, hurting anyone's feelings, or being mean. If he came close to doing any of those things it was with a light heart because he saw the good in people and in situations. He was one of those relatives and friends you could depend on when you needed him. I remember when I had to put my mother in the nursing home and I had to sell her house. My mother had 40 years of living stored in her house. Being an only child, I didn't have brothers or sisters to help me and my children had moved south, only one son-in-law could come to help and with that it was still an overwhelming job. When my cousin Calvin found out, he, Ashanti and Chris came to my aid and worked long and hard until we cleaned my mother's house and sold it. I can't put in words how much that meant to me. It made me feel I had family and let me know I was not alone! And I can't express the love that jesture left in my heart, more than Calvin, Dot, Ashanti and Chris can ever know. That's the kind of cousin and good person he was. In closing, remember Calvin is as close if not closer than he ever was. His spirit will always be with us and in those quiet moments, when he runs across our mind, listen closely and you'll hear his laughter. When we are thinking of him, it's because he's thinking of us. Like my grandmother always said, "The dead knows what the living is doing; the living doesn't know what the dead is doing". So when you need him to help you thorugh something or give you advice, just call him and ask and he'll be there for you. You have your own consultant to God Almighty in Calvin and I know God will listen once He and Calvin stop laughing. Dot, Ashanti and Chris, I love you. And family and friends, remember to call and visit especially after the dust has settled because that's is when Dot, Ashant and Chris will really need us in the weeks and months to come without Calvin. It is up to us to keep Calvin's spirit of life, love and laughter alive for all us. Cosuin Mary

I'm going to miss you, but I know that you are in a better place. To Dorothy and the family, allow God's love to comfort you and always remeber that no one can take away your memories and thoughts.
