Hi from Alaska! I would love to find a place that would ship me some hot weiners. My husband grew up in Smithfield, RI and turned me on to Hot Weiners while we were stationed in MA in the late 90's. LOVE them! Anyone know how we can purchase some for our craving, I would like to surprise my honey. I did get the recipe and ordered some hot sause and mix. Just need the hot dogs and some buns.

I am married to a RI native. We transplanted down south, and he still mourns his RI food. Thanks for this great web site.

We moved down here in '73 and really miss R.I.restaurants and bakeries. Almost every year we'd go back there and I would have my Baked Stuffed Shrimp, sometimes 3 nights in a row and we'd have to go to the bakery to get pepper biscuits, egg biscuits, eckels(sp)cakes and chop sueys. Zaccaninis(sp) was our favorite place in Oaklawn. And of course,at the beach, some clam cakes too. We use to spend a lot of time at Rocky Point growing up. It is really a shame that the children of today can't grow up like we did back in the 50's instead of being planted in front of the TV and computers. Next time back I am going to look for the R.I.Cookbook.
