Whoever thought of this idea, my hats off! This is a wonderful idea! Not too many people would think of something as touching and patriotic as this. This site is well deserving of the awards it's receiving. God bless our troops!

I would like to take this opportunity to send my warmest greetings and express my sincere gratitude to the members of the 142nd Engineering Battalion and their families. I am truly proud of all of you and deeply admire your service to our country.
Because your skills are essential to the nation, the President and the Pentagon have called on the men and women of the 142nd to serve your country time and time again. This call is not easy to answer. Being mobilized for active duty takes men and women away from their loved ones, careers and educational plans. Those of you that I have had the privilege to meet have truly inspired me by the way you bravely and unselfishly face your mission.
North Dakotans who have been deployed during the recent conflict in Iraq have made their state and country proud, and they couldn’t have done it without the tremendous support of their families. Performing everyday activities while loved ones are overseas is not easy and takes a great deal of courage. I want to commend everyone with a loved one deployed overseas on this important effort. Your sacrifice is important and does not go unnoticed.
I wish all of the members of the 142nd a safe and rapid return to our state. We are so proud of you.
Sincerely
Earl Pomeroy

Audrey, I've only talked to you once on the phone, but wow...I admire you so much! You are so wonderful to take the time to do this...You are such a blessing, and everyone appreciates this so much. You are such an ANGEL! If there is anything you need, let me know; you have my phone number... Please let me know if I can help at all. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim and his parents when I was down visiting Steve in Colorado...I sure hope Jim realizes what a wonderful woman he has waiting for him at home. My prayers and thoughts are with not only the troops, but with you as well. Take care of yourself, and again, let me know if you need anything...I'll be in Jamestown to bug you on May 3rd...I can't wait!
