Was with the 22nd Trans Sq, TMO, 1/62-9/64. Major Kenneth Isaacs was our squadron CO, Capt. Frederick Ankenman was our TMO CO, @ bldg 2405. Alot of great memories there! Stayed in barracks #977, and commuted home on weekends to Pomona, CA with Viola Murie, civilian, who lived in Pomona. Found on facebook MSgt Jim Vergura, a squadron member, living in Pennsy. Was also on base disaster control team, and two presidential security teams when then=Pres. Kennedy visited Palm Springs. Also caddied in the celebrity golf tournament w/A2c Chuck Queener, 22nd Supply Sq,who now lives in Stamford, CT for JAMES GARNER! What a great experience. I can be reached at 347-820-8867. Respectfully submitted, A2c Terence Sutherland, AF19718292...
Again, great memories so long ago! Would love to hear from fellow airman at March.

My father, Sgt. William E. Jordan (then Pvt Jordan), was stationed at March Field from September 1941, until January 1942. He was a P-40 crew chief and went to India with the 25th Fighter Sq. He kept a detailed diary about his time at March Field, and of the entire World War II time frame. After his passing in 1996, I transcribed his recordings and diary entries into a book. I would certainly loved to visit the base to see the enlisted man's barracks and other placed that he wrote about. I visited the Air Museum in 2005, and will do so again in December 2011.

Stationed at March Field (1951/52) with the 3933rd RBS Squadron (near the back gate). Beautiful weather, great area to travel. Many fond memories. Spent many nights enjoying the music at the Somerset House in Riverside.

The March Air force Museum was simply
amazing. March Air Force base has a
friendly and peaceful atmosphere and
contains a lovely gift shop and some
amazing planes that are rarely seen in
one's lifetime. I would not hesitate to
go again and I would recommend this
museum to all.
I would like to thank the people of the
March Air Force base for making my
holiday that much more special.
Cheers,
Campbell McIver
