Hi, I have a strange question. Does anyone know if Lori had a turquoise kokopelli when she was in Iraq? A friend of mine was in the area where her unit was taken, and found a street vendor selling the necklace. If it belongs to Lori he'd like to return it to her family. Please email me if you know anything about it!
Thanks!

Hi, actually I am surfing the Web with the intention to find a suitable script for guest book. Have seen tons of them already. To tell you the truth, this one is not of the greatest, but still customizable, with anti-spam protection (which is way too important for me) and few fields to fill in (I know on my own that random visitors get confused with lots of fields). So long cheers!

When I visit Phoenix, I stay close to Squaw Peak. I had heard that the name had changed but not heard the reason why until I arrived in Phoenix later that year. I had commented to a Native American, airport worker who gave me a lift on the wee shuttle carts that I couldn't understand why the name of the mountain had changed, and he explained the reason to me. I felt so humbled. And pleased that America could honour Lori in this way. We also watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition regularly and were absolutely moved to tears when we watched that. We feel for you all and my thoughts are with you. We think of you all often. Since my first visit to Phoenix in 1997, I felt a closeness and a connection to that mountain and this is even stronger now that it is an eternal memorial to a brave young mother, and daughter. You too are brave and I admire your strength. Our sincere and heartfelt best wishes are with you all. Judi, Drew, Stacey, Sara and Sandi Brannigan.

Lori Ann Piestewa has brought honor upon all Native peoples of the Americas, and to all Women, including an inspiration that will live on in my own daughter, Sol, who will hold her head higher because of women like Lori.

Lori is a brave warrior and should be placed on the pedistal where HEROS placed. We as a nation are lucky to have had her protecting us. I will continue to pray for her family and friends, as well as all of our HEROS.

God bless this beautiful, brave, and heroic soldier. I am also Indian, Oglala Lakota, from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, so when I came across an article on Lori and it touched me very deeply. I am so very sorry for your loss. Her children and family are in my prayers.
