I am adopted Oglala Lakota and mere words cannot express the pride and gratitude that I feel for the sacrifice that was given by this sister and warrior. May the Great Spirit welcome her home and bless her children always!

God Bless you this holy season. I will say a special prayer for Lori's children this Christmas. My heart aches for them because I am a native American mother of four and I know how much she loves her children. It is an infinite deep love. Just tell her children there are people who know how special their mother is and how much she has touched the world with her presence and her life.

Our hearts cried tears for Lori and her family. We continue to pray for her and her children and parents. As Native People my entire family in Montana and Idaho watch and pray for our fellow Native Americans. Especially those who serve in the military to protect all of us. May the creator continue to look upon you and lift up your hearts. My parents watched the interview on TV and cried with you. They are elders who live on the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation. Take care and God bless.

TODAY
As we race the sun
Back to our home
From the desert land
In which we roamed
Let's not forget what we've done
Freed the people
From one man's son
Yes. Some we lost
And they gave all
So the rest of us
Can stand proud and tall.
Now war is a word
We all can use
But this is a fight
We cannot lose.
They called upon us
To do our best
And we did our job
With only one request
When you speak of us
Do with pride
Because soldier courage
Is how we coincide
Now the Flag we wave
Is our and strong
But let us not forget
The fighting still goes on
So as you did for us
For them, let us all pray
So they too
Can come home like us
TODAY.
P.S This was written on the way home. It was written for soldiers from Fort Bliss, El Paso TX. Corey J. Weaver wrote it, on June 3rd from Kuwait to Ireland.
