A friend just shared "A Fallen Warrier" with me. I would like to add a "Thank You!" from a grandfather of Cherokee heritage. Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa exemplifies the values taught to me by my father and his father before him. At the time I expressed them in "An Open Letter To Terrorist", (the URL above), it had not occurred to me that our daughters would be joining our warrier sons in making the ultimate sacrifice. This Cherokee grandfather joins the grandfathers of the Hopi tribe in prayers for her Spirit and prayers for the well-being of her children.

My husband is currently serving in the Middle East and I pray for him daily. I want you to know that as a woman, I am proud of Lori - we have come a long way in the military and she has proved it with her dedication and service. I will remember and Jessica in my prayers.
