This is a very touching and honoring site for PFC Piestewa. As a fellow servicemember and American, I would like to offer my condolences to the Piestewa family and the Hopi Nation and also encourage you with the thought that PFC Lori Piestewa will always be an American hero to me and the cause of Freedom and Liberty would not have been in Iraq without brave souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

I feel your loss so greatly as no other may feel the loss. It is a great bond that forms between fellow warriors unless you've been there you will never know the sacrifice that is so willing given to preserve life for family and fellow countrymen. I myself was once in this shawdow and priase our sisters greatness and greive her loss. Lori will always be in my thought and in my heart.

My heart goes out to Lori's children and family. One day, her children will be proud to know that their mother was a brave lady warrior and they will think of her with great pride. Lori gave her life for all of us so we may enjoy freedom, lest we forget the brave men who also lost their lives. Lori has gone home and with great honor. Thank you Lori for your sacrifice, we are grateful to you and your comrades.
