that prompts the patriot’s sigh.
It makes him wish to live
and dare to die.
Patriotism means love of Country,
the word in Latin Patria implies a readiness to sacrifice ones life for it.
To make freedom an object
of our passion or an object
of our love, is what makes us Americans.
We must take the time to remember
that Patriotism gives us the price
of freedom.
Life shows us that freedom
does not come cheap it was paid for with the time, lives and blood
from men and women Patriots.
We as free men and women must remember it is our duty as American citizens:
To honor and pay tribute, to those Patriots who have so bravely and unselfishly given of themselves in the defense of our great country
To not forget the sacrifice’s
they have giving.
My heart and prayers are with
the Piestewa Family in your deep loss.
