We here at the Kicking Horse Job Corps Progam, the one and only all Native American Center, located on the Flathead Rez in Montana had a graduation on 04/24/03 for our students. I was asked to give the dissertation for the graduates, I thought that it would be nice to honor your daughter with a moment of silence, well I have a contact on the Hopi Rez that helps with admissions into our program, so I called Benson Sahu Sr, who works for TERO in K-town and asked him how to correctly pronounce Lori's last name. Well he did and also informed me that there was going to be an memorial at the center, so I asked him to let the family know that we where going to have a moment of silence before our graduation. Well on the way to the gym I spotted one of our diesel students who happens to be a Hopi Tribal Member and who also is the lead singer of our Indian Clubs drum group, Eagle Echo, his name is Raynard Roy. I stopped him to ask for the correct pronunciation of Lori's last name, well he asked why and I told him that I give a speach before graduation and was going to ask for a moment of silence in honor of Lori and he immedialty asked if he could sing an Hopi honor song...well following our moment of silence he sang a song he discribed later as a release and healing song...so I wanted to let you folks know that we are very sad for the family left behind that have to live and go on with out their daughter, sister, niece, grand-daughter, and especially their mother....and we pray that strength and courage will find you and yours during your times of need...may the creator be with you.

As we all know Lori made the ultimate sacrifice any hman could make..she gave her life to help ensure we all enjoy the freedom that we now have. She was a very honorable young lady.May the Great Creator welcome her with open arms and watch over her children and family.Give her family the strength to raise her two beautiful children to be as honorable as she was and may they always know what a HERO their mother was.

I just want to express to Lori's loved ones that she did not die in vain. Her life was given for a worthy cause...human liberty. Because of Lori's sacrifice many will know freedom, and the world will be more peaceful. Time will reveal the dark works of the former Iraqi regime. Then you will realize the true value of her sacrifice, and how many other lives may have been spared. Be proud, and be strong. I'm sure she would want it that way.
