As a fellow female comrade-in-arms, my heart goes out to the family and friends of Lori. When we raise our hand to join the military we realize that we may one day be called to fight and possibly give our life, however, when one of our own is called upon to give the ultimate sacrifice, we all feel the pain! My mother spent several years as a teacher at a Navajo reservation in Arizona and she raised me on Pueblo and Navajo Stories, so although I never met Lori, I feel as if I’ve lost one of my own. May Lori’s family and friends feel the wings of our Creator wrapped tightly around them in this time of sorrow. Martha M. Kuder, Capt, USAFR
