Dear LeighAnn, It has been several months since I have last written your site. I try to keep the best sites updated on the Veterans Hepatitis C problems in this country. It has been almost a year since I went to the BVA hearing and my case was remanded back to the original jurisdiction that original denied me service connection for my obivious service connected hepatitis C problems. I have not heard a word from the VA since the remand order, they just keep me in limbo. When I call to try to get an update I just get the old run around. Imagine the thousands of Veterans that are getting the same old run around. Imagine their suffering during all the waiting process. Imagine the mental torment of being helpless and unable to be cured from a disease you received while serving your country during time of war. Imagine a country who could care less about the Veterans now suffering from hepatitis C which not only eats away your physical body but your soul as well. It is so sad to see our government turn it back on those who fought for their country during time of crisis and continue to close their minds ears and heart to all these Veterans with chronic hepatitis C. After waiting years even to get to the BVA hearing, just to have it remanded back to the office who first denied their legitimate claim which is supposed to be handled in an expiditious manner. I take it the Veteran is just supposed to roll over and play dead and have faith that their country will do the right thing when it again comes time to dust off their files an send out another computerized letter letting the suffering Veteran know that their case is being reviewed, haha.... What else can a person do after they have jumped all the hoops the government provides? Even when they have a nexus from a VA physician telling the VA the Veterans Hepatitis C is most definately Service Connected and Civilian doctors also back up the Veteran Doctors nexus along with the VA examining doctors agree with all the other doctors opinions. What a vicious circle that never ends. It only ends when you are dead and they can throw your file in the circular file container and go on to the next victem or I mean Veteran. I will write you again in the future if I ever hear from the VA again concerning my case. Thank you for an open ear.
