Another Scott Rose Veteran Hepatitis C update. Alot of sites now call my case that. Well, after my hearing at BVA last year, I had a long wait before the BVA wrote me of their decision. Of course the case was remanded. The judge wants to know if hepatitis c has a secondary condition of cirrhosis of the liver and if that is disabling. He also ordered a new physical examination. This is so wrong, since they already have several physicians opinions that the hepatitis c and cirrhosis of the liver are service connected. I understand even though the BVA orders expidetious treatment of the case that in reality it will take several years before the file is even open again. I feel the government would rather wait until a veteran dies so they do not have to make a decision on their claim. Once a veteran dies the claim dies along with him.
