Dear Leigh Ann, It has been a long time since I wrote you an update on Scott Rose Veterans Hepatitis C. That is what hundreds of website intitle anything about me these days. Most of those websites are just using the name to gain public interest in what their sites are selling. I have only kept up with you because you are honest with your site. Thank you for standing up and being noticed when it comes to this horrible epademic of Hepatitis C. Last year I went before the BVA hearing officer on a telecomference for my appeal for service connected hepatitis C. I have to admit, the Hearing Officer who listened to my claim really made me feel like the VA was tring to help me prove my claim is lagitamate. You would think that since a VA Physician Dr. Phillip Wagner, states and shows documentation that the Hepatitis C was contracted while I was serving my country during the Vietnam Era,plus the VA examiners in San Francisco state that they agree that is more likely than not service connected, plus a private Medical Group who took the time to go through 33 years of medical records totally agreed with Dr. Wagners opinion about the cause of the Chronic Hepatitis C one would think this would be a unamious agreement among everyone involved with the person, the condition and the compensation issue. I am still waiting for the decision from the BVA. I haven't heard a word from the VA about my claim since I had the hearing. Each time I call in attempts of finding out any kind of information about my case, I get, oh, we are really backlogged, it is going to be some time. So, I wait. No one has any idea as to how much time a depressed person with Chronic Hepatitis C with major liver damage waits. I have never in my life been through so much BS just trying to get the benefits my government promised the war time veteran. So, for all those our there who tune into your website who are Veterans trying to get their just compensation because they received their Hepatitis C while actively serving their country, the news is even after you go to a hearing at the BVA level the only answere you are going to get is wait. The major problem in waiting for a decision is the medical problem doesn't wait, it progresses. It gets worse and quickly. I wonder in the end if I will get a favoritable decision from the BVA or if my body gives out before that time.. I will send you another update hopefully in the near future. Your site is wonderful, never give up on helping mankind in this fight against Hepatitis C. Sincerely, Scott Rose Legends in Stone Mosaic Art Gallery

I previously took Interferon-Alpha 2a in 1995. The results were encouraging although a relapse occurred. December 1994 blood work showed much elevated liver enzymes and a PCV of 7,569,000. Peg-Interon and Ribavirin treatment began in April 2005. A PCV done in June 2005 was reduced to 1,770.Another PCV was done in August 2005 and the results will be available this week. I suspended the treatment that same day due to the horrible side effects. Of course I hope the PCV results read undetectable as I do not want to have to continue the treatment. With this ghastly infection, likely derived from air injector vaccinations for vietnam service, we don't need a place called Hell.
