Hey, me and a few of my friends were discussing and wondering, how much power do the current police cars have? A quick search on yahoo caused me to stumble across your site. Nobody seems to have exact horsepower and torque stats posted, but your site seemed to be the most informed. If you have them, we're interested in the crown vics, impalas, and the intrepids. One of my friends has a lincoln mark VIII and he says that the crown vic has a lot more than the stock 285 horsepower that his car has, because they have the same engines, but the vics have the interceptor package. I'd always heard that the camaro SS's could outrun the cop cars, but they "only" had 320 horsepower or so; if the crown vics had the kind of horsepower he'd heard they had, they could easily catch a camaro. Hey, just the other day my front pump seal in my transmission blew on my 93' Caprice Classic (former maine state police interceptor)Its expensive to replace, do u have or know anybody who's got an old caprice police package that their willing to part out or a place in new england area to get cheap police interceptor parts for the chevy's????? the 400 turbo tranny is way to expensive for me to replace new outright
