Hello, Great site! love it. Just bought my first interceptor last week. I love it, smooth ride, and lots of power but still good milage. It rules! its a 99 crown vic P71, has the push bumper, had two spotlights, but they were removed, plan on getting them put back on. It was formerly a Ft. Worth Texas Deputy Sheriff vehicle. The dealer I bought it from is an officer here near Ft. Worth, and he had been driving it for about a month, I supprised him by showing up to look at it sooner than he expected, so he had his cb antenna on the trunk, he left it on as part of the deal, which I quickly hooked up my trucker band cb up too. I love hearing them talking about that plain white wrapper rollin' up on them. And I also have lots of fun starting conversations with them lol "Don't worry about that plain white wrapper driver, I'm artificial bacon" lol. That sucks about all those impersonaters ruining it for the people that just enjoy the cars, and the reactions they sometimes get. Hope that doesn't happen in Texas too. Man, you should have seen those two punks I pulled up behind getting onto the highway the other day. It was hillarious, they were apparently carrying something they shouldn't have cause they quickly (and nervously, judging by the way they were moving around) dropped something out their passenger window. If you've ever seen Super Troopers, it was kinda like watching those kids at the begining of that, LOL. I pulled up beside them and just grinned, and waved, they weren't amused, they looked really pissed then, and flipped me off. I just laghed, and gave it a little gas leaving them behind.

Hey, I am getting a 2003 Ford Crown Vic PI. I feel kind of cheated because they are giving the PI more horses, but are governing them at lower speeds, the 2003 tops out at roughly 125mph I mean there is no real reason why I would need a vehicle that goes any faster but if I am in that situation where I need to be somewhere quick it is nice to know that I could Haul butt. But besides that it is black in color and has both spot lights. plus I will be putting under cover red and blue LEDs all over it. It should be a good ride. Oh yeah, I don't impersonate, cause I am.

Hi You mention that it is illegal for a civilian to own a retired police car. Do you have any further info on this law? I have not been able to find anything else on the web about this law. I would like to buy a used P71, but I don't want to get stuck with a car I can't title! Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Pete
