I just received information about lodging rates at Pipestem Park.
Individual and Rooming Rates: All rates are per room - per night (Single/Double)20 Regular Rooms at $79.00, Gorge View at $89.00, Regular Suites at $92.00, Three Room Suites at $115.00, Executive Suites at $165.00, Mountain Creek Rooms at $79.00. Lodge room rates listed is for two persons per room, per night. Each additional person, 13 years of age or older, in the same room is $6.00 per person, per night. Rates do not include a 6% West Virginia sales tax or a 3% Hotel/Motel tax. Cots and cribs are at an additional cost. Reservations must be made no later than July 11, 2006 and may be made by calling toll free at 1-800-225-5982, or dialing direct at (304) 466-1800, Ext. 353. The McDowell County Gifted Program needs your support. Two teams recently competed and won first place in the state Odyssey of the Mind Competition. Both teams will represent the state of WV in the World Competitions that will be held at Iowa State University. These teams will be competing against 49 states as well as 32 countries. These two teams are a group of middle school students that attend Sandy River Middle, Mt. View Middle and War Elementary. Also competing are students from Bradshaw Elementary, Anawalt Elementary, Welch Elementary and Berwind Elementary. We are challenging all McDowell Alumni to support these academic teams by making a donation. We ran into this problem while planning the 20 year reunion and didn't get enough people to respond. I look forward to seeing all of you at the reunion. 25th HIGH SCHOOL REUNION
1981 graduates...Start planning now to attend our 25th reunion...August 11-13, 2006!!!!!!
Plans are underway for a reunion August 11-13, 2006 at Pipestem State Park.
Everyone needs to call Pipestem Resort State Park and reserve a room (1-800-225-5982). Tell the receptionist the room is for Iaeger Class of 81. Our rooms are located in McKeever Lodge, and requires a minimum of two nights. You will need to call now and reserve a room!!!!
The reunion will consist of:
Friday evening check-in.
Saturday evening banquet meal followed by a dance.
Sunday morning check-out.
On Saturday, you and your family has the opportunity to enjoy Pipestem's activities which include: playing golf, horseback riding, outdoor amphitheater, visit the nature center, hiking, swimming (indoor/outdoor), bicycling, basketball, paddle boating, riding the aerial tramway. Or, if you choose to leave the grounds, nearby attractions are the exhibition coal mines, Tamarack, and shopping.
Pipestem is located 14 miles north of Princeton and 12 miles south of Hinton on WV 20. From I-77, take Exit #14 and the park entrance is 14 miles north on route 20.
