I send my prayers out to Sheldon's family may he be at rest and his spirit live on. I am Lakota Sioux and Hopi indian and have served in the United States Marine Corps. I also send my prayers out to all our lakota warriors who are now serving in our military. My husband and brother will be leaving to Irag come Jan. & Feb. may the Great Spirit watch over them and bring them home safe. As military men/women we know the scarifices we may have to make for our country, our people and way of life. Honor your military men/women, those who have served and who are now serving. On behalf of my family living on the Navajo Nation, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Sheldon's family and friends. We too lost a warrior in Vietnam on June 6, 1968 named Michael H. Bia who was also a member of the 101st Airborne Division. No words can express the sorrow and loss one feels even years later, but I have come to realize that our fallen warriors are our guardian angels and sit at the right hand of our Creator, protecting and watching over us, with loving care and compassion. The Lakota people should be so proud of their son and grandson. God bless you Sheldon for giving your life for our Native people - you are truly a warrior for all Indian Nations to be proud of.
