I was stationed at Ft. Allen from 1969 to 1971. I was in norats and transmitters. Friends with Jimmy Burke, Marc O'leary, Dennis Brothers, Steve Holland, Eugene Smith just to name a few.I have pictures too, would like to share on the page. Will find them and try to put them on. Glad that there is a site for us to share.

I arrived at Ft Allen in Jan 1966 as an RM3 with wife in tow. I worked in the tape relay center until a slot opened in the tty repair shop where I remained until June 1969 when I left as RM1 for separation.

I was stationed at Ft. Allen from 1970 thru 73. Worked on the tape deck (comm. ctr.watch section one) for a while and then was ComSec Material Clerk under Lt. Charles Rodriguez. Just got back from Florida vacation where I reconnected with Ft.Allen buds John Rivett and Terry Taylor along the way!

I was stationed at Ft. Allen from Feb. 1970 to Feb. 1973. Played on the sftball and basketball teams, had alot of fun and met some very good people. I'm planning on attending the reunion in St. Louis hope to see some old fiends.

stationed there nov62-nov65 and jan67-feb70 RMC and RMCS...married sonia from ponce in oct 63...worked tape relay, rec site, tech control and microwave...we've been back bout 15 times since I retired in 74...ft allen is now run by the P.R. national guard...the presidential support HF system is still active at salinas rec site...navy exchange is now AAFES its bout twice as large as before...no barber shop, gas sta, commissary etc...main gate is closed they just built bout 100 civilian homes off base on left as you would have left base...main gate is now the gate that was closed - near the "O" club...they also installed a navy remote-over-the-horizon-radar (ROTHR) between the old airstrip and the transmitter antenna area...sure enjoyed the friendship of many people there during the two tours.

I lived in Fort Allen during 1972 to 1973 with my ex husband MP Patrick M. Moore. We lived in a trailer at the back side of the base. My oldest daughter Bridget was only 1 years old then. We had a great time there. I was pregant with our second child when we left. I don't know if anyone will recognize his name, but it was great fun and great people.
