My dad was a RM working in that big building while I was in grades 2 thru 4. What a great place to be a kid!! Visiting PR this week and will try to talk somebody into letting me drive thru the base. Todd Meeler was my best bud back then. If anyone knows how to get in touch with him or his family, please let me know. Remember a restaraunt called Cabana del Tio Tom? Was great, but I can't find any info about it.

Just checking in to see if any of the Navy guys from '63 have signed in lately. We were the bunch that graduated from RMA school in Baingridge and were the first big group to get to FA. Had a great time there. Have a lot of photos from that time.Drop me an email if you would like me to forward you some. Worked at the Com Center as a tape ape and as a service clerk. was out at receivers for a while.INT ZDK CUL Nick

The Fort still stands but is run by the National Guard...all the military bases are gone due to the end of the cold war...I was one of the first sailors to arrive at Ft Allen and remember you Army guys very well. I worked at the commcen also...I was back to Ft Allen 5 years ago and its not the same....the commcen has holes in the walls with air conditioners in them...the club (Que Pasa) still is running and they have a small exchange.. but it was nice to go back and look...I was one of the first sailors to arrive at Ft Allen back in 62 with Cdr Hale...and I enjoyed the party we thru for you (Army) when you all left...dave
