I was stationed at Ft. Allen from 1969-72 as a Radioman 2nd Class. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the friends I made. Also, planning a reunion in St. Louis in 2004 with Jim Aldridge, Jim Mitchell, John Rivett, and possibly Ed Nasipak.

I worked in the galley in 1976-1977.I also spent alot of time in the bowling alley (all 4 lanes!)and played on the slow-pitch softball team. Lots of great memories. Would enjoy hearing from anyone from that era.

Hi Al, am checking into your guestbook as this is first time I have visited your new site. Ana and I just returned from Ponce last Thursday evening, after a weeks visit with Ana's sisters and their families. We made a visit to the Fort Allen PX store on Friday, Nov 7th for some purchases and a short drive around the base. Noticed renovation work on some of the former enlisted housing, closest to the base proper, and looks like they'll be used as offices for training. The base is now utilized as a language training facility. Also noticed work on a couple of the former officer houses too. Not the same old fort as during my tour of 63-65.
