Where is Theresa Powers the Female Jockey from DRC. She was an awsome rider, like one of the guys. HAd several injuries and always bounced back and was in the saddle in no time. She won alot of races for my father in the late 80's. I was just wondering if you knew if she was still riding or has she retired. She was an incrediable female rider that i will always remember!!!!!

I'm the mom of a 9 1/2 year old future female jockey. Cassie is homeschooled and would love to have some "real" jockeys as pen pals to write to and be her heros. I would like an honest opinion, of my age which is 44, and the fact that I just may be thinking seriously about re-trying to ride race horses. Would this be a good chance to take do you think? If you can be honest about it any opinion will do. I had been waiting here in New York City, for years and years then finally the chance for an education of equine race management popped-up.
