Those brave men who fought in that battle so long ago deserve recognition which they have been denied because some stupid person in government thought it may be "Political Incorrect" under the circumstances to honour their bravery. It makes me and all my family sick to the stomach! I have studied this battle in depth numerous times and cannot fathom why these extraordinary brave soldiers were denied their rightful recognition for their extreme bravery. They had two options, fight or die and they fought and lived.

My Grand Father (C.R.Westwood) joined 10th Battalion in August 1914 and sailed on Ascanius to Egypt before landing at Gallipoli at dawn on 25 April 1915. He fought at all campaigne until end of war and returned to Adelaide in 1919. Served 4 years 2 months WW I overseas. I never met Cecil but found a lot of information about him and his service from great sites like this. He is one relative I wish I had known. Keep up the good work.
