I was in the US Army from 1964-1976. I drove large trucks, hauling heavy equipment, artillery and other large items. I did 2 tours in Viet Nam in the central highlands. I came upon your sight and spent over 2 hours on it, thanks again for a great sight, it makes an old soulder happy. Mike S.

I visited the memorial at Stavromenos while on holiday in Crete in September 2009. Michael Winters' portrait on this site of the memorial is stunning. The names of seven brave Australian soldiers buried far from home are inscribed on a base nearby

I remember being there in 1966. I thought the tunnels were a little small, you know coming from West Virginia, Coal mines and all but then the VietNamese were somewhat small. I did eat their rice they had cooked in the tunnels. 1/26 1st Inf. Blue Spaders.
