This site is FANTASTIC. I really love it and cannot praise it too highly. It's given me hours of reading delight. I started looking through it because I am writing the biography of a WW1 Aussie infantryman who became a pilot in the AFC. My work gets put to one side as I marvel and revel in the fascinating information shown here.
Thank you to whoever has created this superb site. It is a joy.

What has happened to this site? There has been
little or no updates for a long time. Any plans to
add more content?
its a great site so lets not have the impressive work
already done be hampered by the stopping of
future updates.

Ray Buckland - One of my late fathers friends Ex CPO Syd Dawkins was on HMS Penelope - HMS Pepperpot as he called her, she had been shot up and was covered in scars and holes ! Syd had an oil painting from HMS Penelope in his living room - showing her turning at speed laying smoke. This was returned to the Admiralty on his passing. Syd was an old Jack Tar till his last.
