I was intrigued when I came across your site. I was born in Kodiak in 1958,but left when only 9 mths old. My dad was stationed there in the Navy. I started quilting just about 3 yrs ago and love it. I'm a nurse and work 7 days and am off 7 days-so that's when I do most of my wuilting. I really enjoyed your show and tell. The club I belong to also has show and tell and do a charity quilt every year and have a quilt show every other year. I made a grandmothers fan quilt using my great grandmothers aprons and it was hand quilted by club members. Happy Quilting.

Dear B.P. Quilters, I miss you guys! I've found some quilters here, so I was still quilting...however, I herniated a disc in my back and had back surgery, then I had shoulder surgery, so the wonderful blocks that you guys made are still in a neat little pile in my quilt room. I'll send a photo when I get them put together. I heard that the quilt show was fantastic....sorry I missed that one. There's a big quilt show here in January that I'm going to enter. Greetings! My son recently was on business in Alaska and stopped at a quilt shop. He asked the lady there what his mother might like and she put together several pieces of fabric (might be batik) and some with maybe a small moose on it - laying them on eachother and tying them with a ribbon to resemble a star. Needless to say, I was delighted. I now am trying to decide what to do with them - any ideas. I think thre are 5 fabrics and maybe 1/2 yard of each. (I'm not with them now - so am guessing.)
