I just had to say Hi to Betty.You have no way or reason to remember this but may years ago, I think maybe 1962 I was returning from San Diego and boot camp to visit my family in Dyersburg. I had gotten to the Airport in Memphis late and my family had already returned to Dyersburg. You must have overheard my telephone conversation and you gave me money to take a cab to the bus station and my family returned and picked me up there. I have always remembered this instance with great fondness and have always tried to pass the generosity on. I still have some of your music which I stil lenjoy. Thank you so very much for who you are.

During the mid 60's you lead several revivals at my church, 2nd Baptist, in Laurel, Mississippi. Our Minister of Music was Milfred Valentine, you may remember. I still have one of your albumns from one of those visits and have enjoyed your rendition of "Roll Jordon Roll" for may years. I majored in music myself and have served the Lord in the way He has called me. Your ministry has touched many lives I know as it did mine. During one of your revivals I realized that I had belived in and had loved the Lord for a long time and shortly after I accepted Him as my personal saviour. Thank you for all your years of dedication and service to Him. And all that you have done for so many through out the years. God has truly blessed you and used you to bless so many.

Glad to find your website today. In the late 1960's you did a revival at FBC Picayune, MS that touched and influnced my life. Our family listened to and sang your music for years. We are especially fond of "Each Step I Take" and "His Eye is On the Sparrow" Thank you for your ministry.
