My last order of a dozen master classical tops was
fantastic. Nice silk, perfect qtr, glassy tap tone and
stiff. I will be placing another order very soon.

Dear Brent,
I have just received the Tonewood from you.
I am very pleased with the Quality and the nice Calendar and Prince of
Wales Visitors Guide.
As I am Swiss and used to Mountains it is very tempting to visit Alaska
some day.
Finally, I must apologise for the phone call I made the other day. The
Lady on the phone was very polite even though it was 1.00am in the morning
in Alaska.
Many thanks again
Ruedi Egger

Hi Brent, I am very happy with the wood you sent. Plan on using it in a few months when the MC is right..a few months in my shop seems to work well.
I especially liked the bigger bits because it easily allows me to cut tailblocks and linings as well as braces.
Thanks for the great service and wood. I will absoloutley be back for my next orders.
Kia ora,
TonyFrancis

Have finished three flat top mandolins with my first shipment from ASW. The two bearclaw sitka tops are beautiful, both highly figured. They are bright and clear in tone, maybe favoring the high strings. I am keeping the cedar topped instrument for myself. It is the sweetest and most balanced mando I have done. Work is progressing on my first guitar. I will report on it when completed. Thanks Brent, the wood is great.

I returned from a business trip this week & found that my top sets had arrived. While I ordered these sets mainly for ptototypes & experimenting with bracings/graduations, I'm very pleased with both the appearance and ring quality of the wood. You will definitely be my first choice for sitka tops in the future

Brent,
Received your tops a couple of days ago, really great, so much better (and I should add cheaper) than is available locally.
Not having ordered timber directly from overseas before it was hard to know what to expect, I got a number of tops with the intention of selecting one or two to work with and taking the rest down to the workshop for others to use. In the end it was hard to part with all but a couple of them, though they did make it down and are now (with the exception of only one) all spoken for (and by luthiers with a good deal of experience with sikka).
Also whether intentional or otherwise you sent a great range of master grade wood, one very strong piece and a couple of very nice softer pieces (that have new 12 string and try a classical written all over them). It’s great when you get material that makes you re assess what you had thought you were going to do with the timber.
Also love the master grade cedar. I got that to put a new top on a very old Admira to have a better knockabout guitar, however it’s so nice the Admira will have to wait, thanks again for the great timber and very prompt service.
Regards,
Will Doyle
ps love the visitors guide its nice to have a little window into the area the timber is harvested from.

I was very pleased with my first order from you. The Curly Sitka tops seem like fine tops but I dont detect much figure. Maybe with sanding it will come out. No complaints.
