I love the Austin Powwow, my chidren have been going with me for five years we dance Intertribe and the Blanket Dance over the years of Austin Powwows we have gotten in touch with our native american roots and have grown in our undrestanding of what has been passed down to us. Each year we look farward to joining with the community of Native Americans and begain again to live in our history anew.With the blessing of the ppl and our ppl befor us. Thank you Jennifer 2line

I have been to many of the Austin POW WOWS and have never been disappointed in any of them. There is such a feeling of tranquility and peace in this large building full of people. I love to watch the drummers and dancers. When my children were younger, I loved to watch their tiny little faces light up when they saw these young men dressed and representing their tribes. History becomes alive to them at this point. I encourage them to understand that these are the true original americans.

I recently attended the first annual NE powwow in Saratog Springs, NY. The Austin powwow is so much larger and much more exciting! Everyone please come to this year's powwow. It's the best! Lela (Choctaw)

i have a deep love and appreciation for all nations of native americans, if there was a way i would love to give more than what i make to help make the austin independent school distrcit pow pow more recognized - usually by word of mouth helps but there are some local stations who i can not seem to get the word out to their listeners...it's sad but true ! they (local radio stations practically laugh in my face ! ) i wish there was another way to spread the news of how important it is to attend these pow wows and the history behind them. people do not see "it " or "feel it " like i do. Long live the spirit of all of our deceased ancestors ! May their love and soul pour deep into our everlasting heart,mind, body and spirit !
