Hi Andrew. Thank you for your story. I am in the process of finding a rabbi to pursue the conversion process to Judaism because Christianity is no longer compatible with my beliefs. Judaism, to me, is a far broader, more tolerant relgion. Judaism can mean so many different things to different people, as shown in the book Stars of David. As far as people like the late Jerry Falwell are concerned, the Anti-Defamation League has received a lot of complaints about fundamentalist Anti-Semitism. Representatives I've met told me that where you find Anti-Semitism, you are likely to also find anti-gay sentiments and other forms of discrimination. Those fundamentalists have such empty lives and souls; sometimes I almost feel sorry for them. Almost, I stress.
