For some years I've owned a gavel in the form of a barrel - at one end are the four X's with A.O.F.B. underneath, and at the other the words 'Birmingham Medal of Summer Hill Terrace' encircling the phrase 'NO HEEL TAPS'. It has puzzled me until I hit on your web-site! Could it have been do you think, a car mascot which was modified? There is a screw at the top of the barrel which could have been attached to something else. I am arranging to have a photo taken which I can send to you, but I would appreciate your comments. They sound like a great bunch!

We at the University of the South still celebrate the legacy of men such as Mad Mike. Please send me information on how to further reasearch the A.O.F.B. if possible.

Having been to the Frothblowers Arms on Sunday after staying at the Red Lion in Salisbury, there is more information on the wall of the pub itself, including the rules, some pictures and some history. Maybe you should photograph these for the site. Also, it mentions that the ladies winf of the AOFB was named the "Angelic Order of Fairy Belles".
I was interested in the frothblowers - maybe it should be re-formed ;-)

Hello. My Grandfather recently passed away, and during a clear out of some of his personal belongings we found a set of cufflinks with the letters AOFB on them, unsure what this meant we Googled AOFB and came to find this site. The first picture on your memorabilia page has something on it with the letters that look very much like those on the cufflinks that belonged to my Grandfather. If you would like I can take photos of these cufflinks and send them to you, I would also very much appreciate any information you may have on the AOFB, the cufflinks or anything related thereto.
Should you like me to supply photos of my Grandfather's cufflinks; I can send them by email, please contact me at kuri.no.risu@gmail.com
Many thanks, I look forward to receiving futher correspondace from yourselves.
Regards,
Chris Egglishaw
