I am not British but married to an Englishman. He also has Scottish blood and I am French with Spanish and Polish ancestors. Our children are a real mix! Thank God they only speak two languages! Our family has lived in London,in Dublin, in different parts of France and we are now in Paris. We always respected people and places, worked and paid taxes. I felt we were always welcome wherever we lived. Diversity has opened our minds and has never changed our values and our Christian religion. I always liked the countries I lived in. I love England and visit my husband's family, who has become mine, very often. In France we also have problems with the muslim extremists, not the muslims, The EXTREMISTS! They are people who are intolerant of other people's point of view, people who use violence to make others think like them, the same really as nationalists who think that the non nationals are worth less. The French made the Algerians and the Marrocans come to France to rebuilt the country after the war. They worked in the mines, on the roads, laying traintracks, all the dirty jobs lots of French would not do then. They were sent together into quickly-built council flats that are now run down. They didn't have much contact with the French. A lot of the women still can't speak French! how could they teach their children, born in france, so technically French, to be good French citizens? The new generation feels sacrificed; still they are French; don't be mistaken a lot of them do integrate.But some of them, no, They are lost, they turn to religion and some very clever people brainwash them and use them. They might become terrorists. I do not agree with that. I think it is extremely sad. My best friend is muslim. She hardly ever talks about it, apart to condamn terrorism. She does not wear a vale, does put on some make up and wear a bikini at the beach. She was born in France and feels French. It worked for her.I have no problem with her being muslim! There is good and bad in every nation, there is good and bad in everybody. What did the French do to the Protestants, to the Algerians? What did the Germans do to the Jews? What did the English do to the Irish? All nations did terrible and also admirable things. Didn't the arabs invent mathematics? Some centuries ago THEY were civilized and Europeans were still wild pagans. The problem is very complicated. Rules, immigration policies,laws are part of the answer, violence, prejudices and racism (from anywhere they might come from) are certainly not. By the way, this is what I read in the terms and conditions of use of this site, some of the visitors should read again and comply to them! Hi, I record under the name Anglo Saxon. I have a website, myspace,blog etc. I have not used myspace or the blog as I have been concentrating on my website and videos on youtube. Unfortunately the politically correct powers that be seem to have got my youtube account suspended and all my videos removed. I am rather pissed off as I had 250 subscribers and 25,000 views. God Bless you guys, there are many of us over here fighting the same battles, I swear the issues you mention on your homepage parralel issues the US currently faces to a startling degree, I and true American Conservatives stand with you and England.
